Our Mission

UB SAE is a student engineering club from the University at Buffalo and collegiate chapter of SAE International. Since 1984, our club has competed in various student engineering competitions hosted by SAE including Formula, Supermileage, and Clean Snowmobile. Currently, our club competes in the Baja SAE competition, under the team name UB Motorsports. The team is made up of primarily undergraduate students from various engineering disciplines and majors. Each year the team designs, builds, tests, and races an off-road vehicle against other universities from around the world. The UB Motorsports team prides itself on its innovative designs, minimalist philosophy, in-house manufacturing, community, and dedication to pushing the limits of off-road racing.

Our club strives to educate and prepare future engineers, exposing them to the full engineering design process and giving them real-world, hands on experience. We look to continue to fulfill this mission and impact as many students as possible.
